Nearly a hundred years following the destruction and burning of the church of the holy Prophet Elijah in Star Dojran, the year 2003 saw the start of the reconstruction of this cathedral. Another three large domes need to be cemented and roofed for the building to be completely closed and to reach the stage of interior works (walling-off, plastering, etc.).
For the ones who would like to participate as donors in the reconstruction of this cathedral, significant also for the historical continuity of Macedonian Orthodoxy, Strumica Diocese has opened:
